    IF UR BEST FRIEND IS A JERK (GUY), and only has the intention to lead you on just cause of an emotional breakdown. then i strongly suggest to NOT to confess anything and play a game, let him chase you. let him think and u enjoy.he will end up coming around.
    If its a she, then well, be nice to her,flirt with her a bit. and if she seems to like it. after sometime ask her to be yours.
    CONFESSING IS NOT THE WAY TO GO.
